Pacific Technical Resources, Inc. worked as an electrical contractor for a local civil contractor; PTR was responsible for all electrical construction, installation, and testing for the newly installed Micro-Turbine station. This project was completed from the ground up which included installation of the grounding grid, underground conduits, installation of switchgear, PLC building and controls, Micro-Turbines, transformers, cable tray, lighting, cathodic protection, heat trace, protection relays and all instrumentation. This project was valued at over 3 million dollars and it was completed on time.
Working as the primary contractor, Pacific Technical Resources, Inc. performed the following scope of work to upgrade Big Creek Powerhouse #3 for Southern California Edison. This project consisted of the installation of two new station service transformers and associated 13.2kV switchgear, temporary power, installation of cable trays, power cables and grounding, modifications to relay racks and auxiliary panels throughout the plant, also including new PLC racks and protection relays, as well as demolition of existing 12kV substation and overhead wiring. This project was valued at 1.6 million dollars.
Pacific Technical Resources, Inc. was awarded this project to repower Units 3 and 4 at the NRG Energy El Segundo Station. This project consisted of installing a new medium voltage Load Breaker Switch, new foundation, and electrical conduit and cable runs. Reroute 480V power to feed the maintenance and administration trailers, the water treatment plant, and the existing motor control centers. This project was valued at 1.8 million dollars.

• Installation of a Data Control System (DCS) at Reliant Energy’s Coolwater Generating Station with a project value of $1,500,000.00 USD.
• Emergency Work at AES Redondo Beach Generating Station to perform testing of one Auxiliary Transformer and replace 2000 MCM, 5kV damaged cables. Total project value of $420,000.00 USD.
• Beckwith Generator Protection Relays Upgrade Project at SDG&E Desert Star Energy Center. Project was performed on time and on budget with a total cost of $210,000.00 US.
• Emergency Work at NRG Long Beach Generating Station to perform testing of one Auxiliary Transformer and replace 750 MCM, 5kV damaged cables. Total project value of $230,000.00 USD.
• Warehouse Repower Project at the Long Beach Generating Station to facilitate the construction of a new Battery Energy Storage System. Total project value of $930,000.00 USD.
